Professor David Wilmoth 2009 Victorian Chapter President Professor David Wilmoth is Founder and Director of Learning Cities International, a services company for tertiary education and university development. Recent clients include the International Finance Corporation in Botswana for transaction advice for the Botswana International University of Science and Technology, PNG Sustainable Development Program in PNG, RMIT / Nautilus Foundation in Australia and Vietnam, Monash University in Australia, Hanoi University of Technology in Vietnam, Metropolis Association in Iran, the National Hospital of Paediatrics in Vietnam and the Victorian Department of Sustainability and Environment in Australia. David was previously Deputy Vice-Chancellor and now Emeritus Professor at the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology (RMIT) where he led international programs including as founding CEO for RMIT International University Vietnam, RMIT International and RMIT Malaysia. He also led the university’s corporate governance, including audit and risk management, compliance and oversight of subsidiaries. He was CEO August 2007 to March 2008 and remains a Director of Monash College Pty Ltd, a subsidiary of Monash University that provides student preparatory and workplace readiness programs. He is also a Director of AFS Intercultural Programs Australia, a provider of international mobility for secondary students and Chair of the Victorian Division of the Australia-Africa Business Council. He has degrees in economics and planning from the Universities of Queensland, Sydney and California at Berkeley, and is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and the Australian Institute of Management.
